Plant-based version of Tuna

On Halloween, October 31st, I also discussed with my fiance that I had been craving tunafish and wanted a tuna melt without giving in and eating tuna.

With a bit of searching I was able to discover the answer for my craving.


That website above is from a couple who have made recipes that are vegan, vegetarian, keto and more. By searching they have a ton of variety or recipes to fit one's needs and cravings and I have enjoyed to use their website as well as my other go-to: makeitdairyfree.com

It was fun crushing up the chickpeas and adding in the chopped celery and onions along with the necessary organic mustard, vegan mayo and the like.

With a bit of research I found some Nori sheets at my local Publix and used the food processor to crush that up and it truly makes this recipe have the "tuna" taste I was craving.


I made plenty of sandwiches and melts for days with this recipe and it will be my go-to when I have that craving again for something... shall we say.... fishy. :)
