Have you ever mixed hummus into your pasta?

I know before November 5th it never occurred to me to mix hummus into pasta at all!

I found this recipe on theplantbasedschool.com

It was just as it sounds... called hummus pasta. Of course I had to check it out...

It was making pasta as you normal, which we chose to use spaghetti noodles for the recipe.

Then you make your mushrooms, we used shitake and bella mushrooms with onions, garlic and herbs and spices.

You make the hummus, I found it to be easier to make it before you start the rest of the recipe.

The hummus recipe is quite simple and I'm saving that for my next post to read...

You use the hummus as your sauce instead of alfredo or vodka sauce. Use what it calls for or making as thick or thin as you like and add in leftover pasta water to thin it out.

We love to use parmesan cheese... go ahead and add it and enjoy!
